This video is to showcase the different engine sounds i've modded into the game, of course several of these are vanilla but at the same time several of them were also imported and modded by me, including some custom engine sounds as well, instructions of the installation can be found in the download link above.

Also What about some cars like SUV having reversed order of sounds(except the H2) Both Escalade and Lincoln have stock sound that should be their max upgrade one but for what ever reason its wrong way around and it got lame lazy sound as max upgrade instead of that aggressive cam sounding V8 they have at stock

Mate I’m sorry you deserve all the credit and more. This mod is crazy I’ve seen and heard engine sound mods before but all the extreme engine options sound just like the real things especially the WRX STI. Keep up the good work and when I get my PC soon I’m definitely installing this mod. Hope to see you do this for some newer games too maybe? Keep going with this tho man fr so many people want and need this in their lives including myself 😂

But the strangest thing is why Black Box always loved putting the 6G72 sounds till NFS World (at least for upgraded). And why in NFS Pro Street the sound from Chevy Cavalier was used when this car had the same 4G63T as the Evo 1-9.

Holy hell you did a good job on this! Especially the 2JZ-GE, the Forza and what I assumed NFS 2015 sound fit in surprisingly well! Will definitely use for sure. You could probably do something similar with Most Wanted or Carbon as I believe they use similar audio systems.

Eh debatable. The turbo sounds still need some work because they are kinda laughable. I wouldn't say NFS UG2 has the best engine sounds because as you can see most of these sounds are custom made or ported from other NFS/racing games and you know most of the NFS UG2 sounds by default are copy and paste.

@@cyberpope2137 Well, NFS Pro Street still has pretty good the way that process the sounds. NFS 2015/Heat also has pretty decent way that process the sounds. I mean NFS UG2 has good sound processing but I would say from the Black Box era NFS Pro Street has the best sound processing while from Ghost era probably NFS 2015 (while some cars in NFS Payback/Heat sound slighly better). Edit: Also I forgot that NFS MW 2012 has also great way of sound processing. But from other games outside NFS I will say DriveClub, Asetto Corsa, FH2/FH3 and even Gran Turismo Sport have good way to process the car sounds. There are probably some few like Grid 2 and others that I miss.

Lol the Ferrari sound is just used in the rotary & I6 cars. I don't get it how people didn't complain about the fart can Cavalier sound or the overused S2000 sounds? The Ferrari 360 wasn't even used that much compared to these sounds.

Fantastic mod! Here is my feedback, I loved the FH4 Supra(maybe put it as the extreme version) and the Pro WRX sounded more straight piped than the extreme version

I don't think putting FH4 Supra one is better than the toy_supra_a from NFS Pro Street or the one from NFS 2015 for extreme upgrade. The FH4 one doesn't sound that aggressive as the NFS Pro Street/2015 Supra sounds it should be at least for stock but either way since both cars have NA 2JZ not Twin-Turbo is better to put bmw_m3_g from NFS UC. And about the NFS Carbon's ultimate sound I just pointed out and he might change it in the next update. Also the street upgrade too it sounds less aggressive than stock.

The fact that VTEC point rises on a highly tuned engine is very nice, because it will be like this in reality, if the engines is properly tuned. (As you have 2 profiles maximum and care less about dailyability the non-vtec cam becomes much more agressive aswell as the VTEC cam wich logically rises the ideal crossover point)

Dude you've just brought old memories when 5-6 of us would have each their own car and competing who will do most points on that downhill drift. We did this a lot times. Finish this with all cars, for you it seems like a no big deal to edit the sounds but for many you will make old game be worth playing again. Maybe this sound-mod could pair up with some graphics mod, and become like full game upgrade. Of course with OG cars.

I really like it! The only thing i would change is the sound of the Celica GT-S. It should also have the "V-TEC" sound like the B16 Civic, since the 2ZZ-GE has "Lift".

There are actually proper 2ZZ-GE sounds that he can take like the Lotus Elise sound (lot_elise_a) from NFS MW 2005 or lot_elise_b (another variant) from NFS World and maybe the Exige S GIN from NFS 2015/Heat. You know that the same 2ZZ-GE is also found in the Lotus Elise/Exige. However here is the thing - he used the engine sounds of the Honda S2000 sounds from NFS Pro Street instead of the exhaust sounds or the proper Honda Civic one from NFS Pro Street/2015 so that's why many people think the S2000's engine sounds sound like 4AGE but he used both AE86 from NFS UG2 and as bonus the AE86 one from NFS Pro Street - the exhaust variant. Also you know that both engines have the same volume of 1.6L I4 so it is kinda normal to sound "similar".

It is basically the default stock sound that is used also by street upgrade of the Supra/Is300 with a bit of tweaks. Also I think the Grid 2 sound sounds even better than the NFS UG2 sound.

Wow this is a really great mod for NFSU2. Things that I would change would be: swap the pro and street sounds on the GTO, and swap the pro and extreme sounds on the WRX. Just my opinion.

Well, even though they were massive copy and paste but for 2004 game the sounds were impressive actually and a big step from NFS UG1's sounds which were even more copy and paste. It is funny that not many people that all cars shared the same sounds (for stock or upgrade) except the Subaru WRX STI which used unique sounds that are not shared by any other car besides the Subaru unlike the all cars that at least shared with 1 another car.
