This is her second vocal peak, after whatever she had to deal with during Enigma, her technique is better than ever, her mix has improved and she's consistently phrasing in head voice in pop songs for the first time (which I was surprised to not see in the video... Alice, 911 and Rain on Me are examples). She's clearly taking great care of her voice and this tour shows it. The overall improvement of her physical and mental condition that she discussed before the first show definetely helps.
@carloschacon1042 жыл бұрын
idk tho she sounds more nasal and constricted than ever and im not hearing that powerful chest engagement she used to have. Maybe its because the songs don’t require her to belt like that but even in her jazz shows i feel like her belts arent as good anymore + shes going very sharp sometimes and is struggling in the 5th octave
@lucasiglesias18942 жыл бұрын
@@carloschacon104 I don't hear the extra nasality or constriction, in fact head voice phrasing with extra constriction would be hard and wouldn't sound like what she's doing. As to the lesser chest engagement... That's actually healthier and more sustainable in the long run. I dont see her struggling at all in the 5th octave... This whole video is a proof of that. She did struggle above C#5/D5 in the Enigma era but that seems to be gone. Also, she's a Mezzo, upper fifth octave is never going to be easy for her.
@carloschacon1042 жыл бұрын
@@lucasiglesias1894 i hear some very nasal approached notes here like the D5 at @6:44. tbh as a fan of her and especially her vocals since a long time i feel like big resonant belts were her trademark vocally if u get what i mean so to hear her belts go a bit flat is something i don’t personally like. Im glad she lighted her mix a bit but i dont like her sounding unnecessarily bright or nasal. During most of the alice performances she was very whiny so yeah im personally not into that regarding of the technical aspect. Edit: Its normal for her due to the natural quality of her voice to struggle that high and her lighting her mix helps her with that 5th octave problems like her E5 in “Met” (i dont remember the time stamp rn) in the shallow performance sounds actually more free than what her usual E5s sound.

*without ASIB cuz i didn't listen to it as a whole I want that too, so this songs i expect if it happens : - 1000 Doves (Eb5 at every chorus, B4 and E5 at climax) - Fun Tonight (B4s and Eb5s at chorus) - Stupid Love (F#5 BELT, she rarely uses felsetto/HV) - Do What U Want (F#5 as well, and a lot of high notes on chorus plus Xtina's notes) - Fashion! (it wouldn't be one of her hardest if it wasn't for THAT 1 WEEK LONG NOTE) - Million Reasons - Diamond Heart - Sour Candy (low notes down to fucking G2 and C5s, also F6 "screams" which u don't really need to sing tho.... u can just do what Gaga does lol) - Alice (same for lows, maybe even lower to F2, also E5s at chorus and Eb5s at "take me" - Sine From Above (ok this is def one of them... CONSTANT BELTING, Eb5s at chorus, and a lot of D5s, Eb5s and E5s in the back at Elton's part, also lows at the beggining, very hard one tho) - Enigma (the pre-chorus. that's it) - Rain On Me (soo many high notes omg, full belt 1st verse, full falsetto pre-choruses, full lows bridge, F#5 ari on 2nd chorus, and then boom! Climax. F#5s and B5 BY GAGA... very rare of her) - Free Woman (a lot of C5s, C#5s and D5s) - Plastic Doll (so many E5 and G5 falsettos connected to phrased E5 belts. Also C6 cracked right before climax) There are more BUT Chromatica is overall her most demeanding album vocally.

@@filipmarinkovic6281 I’m trying to find the video you’re referring with no luck, although I remember that channel claiming Katy Perry hit an F6 whistle note so I’d take their claims with a pinch. The closet claim I see is a G2 on Sour Candy (which I think is just vocals pitched manipulated to sound lower) and it wasn’t a lead vocal anyway. The lowest lead vocal note (spoken notes or vocal fry not included) is C#3. Many of the notes you’ve listed for each of the those songs aren’t in key. I agree with your choices though. Imo Paparazzi is also up there because it requires a developed head voice to sing the song like the studio version which I don’t think Gaga has ever done

I always crop (zoom) all the clips automatically so they dont look like the original ones people post. I've been doing this since the beginning. It's on purpose, to make it more clear that my content is about the vocals, and not just showing the concert (which would be other people's content). I didn't "steal" from you because I'm literally just using a few seconds to make a video with another purpose, in KZbin terms it's called "fair use". If you got a watermark in your video it might have been cropped, but it's not like I did it on your clip on purpose. It's done automatically. In any case, I don't know how can it bother u so much, but if you really care and think you lost many views because of this... I'm sorry, again, it wasn't my intention. I'll make sure not to include any more clips from your channel. Watermarks don't look good anyway so we all win. I apologize, again.
