PAC is trying to set itself as the next best landing spot for teams being left behind in a future ACC B1G realingment. To do this the PAC has to move East and grab the top teams of the AAC to make a best of the rest conference. Here is how i would do it. PAC FOOTBALL PAC BASKETBALL Washington St Washington St Boise St Boise St Oregon St Oregon St Utah St Gonzaga Colorado St Utah St Colorado St Fresno St San Diego St Fresno St San Diego St Wichita St / GCU N. Texas / UNLV N. Texas / UNLV Memphis Memphis Tulane Tulane FOOTBALL 10 Teams 8 Conference Games, play your *regional partners every year, with a conference champ game. BASKETBALL 12 Teams 18 Conference games. Play each team at least once (11), *their region twice (3) & play a 2nd game with 2 teams from the other 2 regions **(4). *playing your region more often will help with regionality, travel and rivalries. **The best 2 teams (based on previous years record) will play each other, which also means the 2 Bottom teams play each other. This reaults in better TV games and boosts the SOS for teams looking for auto bids to March Madness.

The pac and Memphis have been in talks all week behind closed doors. UTEP, And Sacramento St and all these schools are MW level. Memphis and tulane are not out of the picture. Regardless of how these 2 bozos feel about it. Geography really is out the window when trying to Strive to survive! And Gonzaga wants Memphis!

Pac-12 made a huge misstep when they low-balled the AAC schools, especially Memphis which brings good basketball and football

Luring UCLA to the new PAC-12 is less realistic than Sac State becoming a member of the new PAC-12. Just sayin.

Totally agree. Why would UCLA ever want to leave the #1 conference in the U.S. (Big 10) with all its money and resources to go back to a much weaker PAC-12? I like the way the new PAC-12 is shaping up, but it will never be as strong at the original PAC 12. Stanford and Cal would have a slightly better chance at returning due to the killer travel and not that great of a deal with the ACC. However, I really can't see Stanford and Cal ever being in a league with Fresno State or Boise State, who they think are way beneath them from an education standpoint. They want to be in a conference with schools that are elite in education.

Here is a piece of relevant information: Sacramento is a great sports town like Seattle or Buffalo or Green Bay.

sac state makes about as much athletic revenue as pac 12 schools and is in a media market 1000x more important.

If I ran The PAC this is what I would do. West Division Oregon State Gonzaga Washington State St. Mary’s Boise State Fresno State San Diego St UNLV South Division Colorado State. Grand Canyon Utah State Wichita St Memphis Tulane SMU South Florida

The pac will NEVER be a power conference again...for football or basketball...adding bunch of group of 6 programs (zags the exception for bb) isn't gonna cut it. Zags would be member of Big12 already if they had football. Purely a money grab for zags but doesn't do anything to improve their national profile...they ARE who they ARE...25+ wins a year with an ncaa tourney run to sweet 16 on regular basis.
