The real PAC was actually 131 years not 108...It commenced when Herbert Hoover printed up a bunch of tickets and scalped them at Golden Gate park for Cal-Ford game. The 1st out of state meeting occurred the following year when Stanford took a steam locomotive to Seattle Washington and beat UW 40-0 (ouch). The formal PAC was restarted while CAL and Stanford were on football hiatus from ceasing varsity football operations, Cal rejoined the formal PAC and finally played their first ever match with an eastern power in Pasedena where they shutout the Ohio State Buckeyes 1921 Rose bowl 28-0 (ouch).

No one in the PAC2 wants in the ACC nor the BIG12. They have a pretty darn good TV deal for the situation. In N.C. I will see more wazzu and Oregon st. games down here on CW than I will USC or Washington games by a large margin this year. The schools in the MW that are leaving to play in the branded PAC12 to elevate their programs. This will get them more exposure and buzz to help with recruitment. The PAC2 teams have always been more on MW talent level, stadium size, enrollment, ect. If the MW is smart they'll reenter talks to merge the 2 under the PAC12 brand and not fight this because if they do they'll end up BIGEASTing themselves.

P12 more likely to merger with ACC since ACC has Stanford & Cal in a geographic 🏝️. ACC isnt going to lose as many teams as a lot of fans think. SEC doesn’t need any ACC teams, maybe they take NC St. FSU is digging a relationship whole for themselves with the way they’re behaving, B10 may decide they only need to add Miami in Fl plus Clemson, NC & maybe Lville. B10 won’t add more than 4 and maybe just 2. SEC 2 at most. ACC teams tgst could go B12 if B12 has better pay structure, who besides Lville , Pitt maybe VT. I only see WSU/OSU getting an ACC invite if the AC, loses 6 or more schools. I see FSU/CU leaving the ACC in 2027 if ESPN doesn’t renew current agreement. If ESPN renews, I see them leaving in 2029/2030. Just in time for new media deals. Lower exit fees so more ACC teams leave.

@Mr.Ed_Wayner Ай бұрын
@@tarheel7406 IMO if ESPN doesn’t renew the current ACC media deal by Feb 2025, I see FSU & Miami in the B1G in 2027. If they renew, I see them in the B1G in 2031 when the buyout will be lower and B1G media deal will be up for renewal. If those 2 schools leave, I see UNC & UVA getting into the SEC, as the SEC will want to expand its football footprint in contiguous growing states. I don’t see the B1G going past 20 teams unless ND decides to join the B1G if major ACC brands leave. SEC will also want to go to 20 schools. In that scenario, Clemson would also be invited as the 19th school. Then the question will be who would be the 20th SEC school? My guess would be a basketball school to add to boost SEC basketball so Kansas or Duke come to mind. I’m sure ESPN would love to keep UNC & Duke in the same conference under their media control. So I am guessing Duke. Remaining less valuable ACC teams such as Louisville, Pitt, VT, NCSt, Syracuse & GT would look to the B12 for a landing spot. My guess is Pitt, VT, NCSt & Louisville would end up in the B12 to get to 20. If Kansas goes to the SEC, then B12 would backfill with UConn. If Kansas stays they may go to 24 and add UConn, Syracuse (UConn rival), SDSU and GT. Leftover ACC brands could then invite AAC schools or merge with the PAC-12 and try to keep P4 status.

@@Mr.Ed_Wayner a) When will you and others figure out that the B1G doesn't want FSU? b) Even under your scenario, why would any ACC remainder move to a then even more irrelevant BIG12? A big12 school went to Pullman last week and got a pants down spanking, WSU has beaten the best team in the big 12 (Utah) a number of times make a couple key additions and the pac-12 is better than the ACC and big12

I add AFA, UNLV, UNT, UTSA. If they want to go for 12 I add Tulane and Tulsa. I think Memphis is too far based on the TV they will get.

I like these suggestions, but not sure they would add AFA... nor whether AFA bolts firnthe AAC after this? UNLV obviois, but they won't take Nevada. Memphis and/or Tulane probably top the list.

Roman you are talking too fast. It hurts your position. Slow down! You sound like a desperate underdog trying to make your point. The Big boys are deliberate, relaxed, and they pause. Are you talking football or having an argument with your partner? Slow down man.
