Real easy to install...if your vehicle is supported. Otherwise it was an absolute nightmare trying to figure out the correct wiring, then switch settings (one PAC app version showed JVC down, one app showed JVC up), my head unit refused to recognise the CP2 module no matter which SWC connection I used (which explained why the learning function repeatedly failed), and I eventually returned it to the vendor with explicit instructions for him to take it far away from me and order the appropriate Aerpro parts I requested in the first place. I strongly suggest before you buy this unit, download the app and make sure your vehicle is supported!

Hi Dean. Great video. Have you made a video, where you've installed an android stereo (similar to an Atoto S8 Premium) in a 2007 Jeep Commander or Grand Cherokee. I installed the unit using a PAC C2R-CHY4 interface, but couldn't maintain the factory steering wheel controls, so I purchased the PAC SWI-RC-1 to use in conjunction with the C2R-CHY4, but couldn't get the steering wheel controls to work, despite following the instructions on the ControlPRO/PAC site. I may have purchased the incorrect PAC interface. Probably should have purchased the PAC RP4-CH11 All-in-one Radio Replacement and Steering Wheel Control Interface.

Too fast. You said separate wires to back of radio and into car. Do you mean the red black and yellow should go onto new radio harness? The others I know go to the matching plug in car. So helpful! I would be lost without your help!

What wire were you connecting to w blue/yellow wire? Otherwise it looks like i have to connect to k1 k2 and possibly have to solder a headphone jack for the 3.5mm. All this new stuff is so different from the easy ol days

Im using a Blankpaunt Dakota unit and does not have 3.5mm jack. It has an SWC1 orange, and a SWC2 brown. Which one do I hook up the blue/yellow wire coming from the interface? TIA

Once the SWI-CP2 is installed and working, how do you custom program a long-press button? I want to program a button to activate the voice control of my radio. It shows as an available programming option (Alpine radio #14 option on your list). I read the instructions - it's not clear to me. Can you help please? Thanks,

DEAN OR FERNANDO!!! PLEASE HELP ME I have a Kenwood dnx576s with 6 outputs in the back, hooked up to that is a skar audio skv2 200.4 and I have 4 spx 65c and 1inch aluminum tweeters the speakers and wired via crossover, my speakers play very low like I can barley hear them at full volume when I plug my 4 channel rcas into the back of the head unit but I have a 3.5mm to rca and when I plug my phone into my amp it plays fine idk what the issue could be other then my car came with a axxcess asw1 steering wheel control retainer, or the low level outputs are fried which I don't think is the issue any input would be greatly appreciated. I have been watching your channel and searched for months for a video on this but can't seem to find one. I ran all my own speaker wire, the asw1 that is hooked up in the back they cut the blue wire and connected it to the blue white remote wire idk if that something to do with it but I positaped into the blue white wire.

I have a 2014 Chevy Cruze & because the way its designed, a LCD monochrome display sits above the radio. I've read on the PAC website it says "the LCD screen display will not be retained" however, it still displays the date and time, it just won't display radio functions through the LCD display. My question is, using the RP5-GM41 PAC harness, will there be a way to access the system configuration/personalization menu (Time and Date, Vehicle Settings; i.e. remote unlock feedback, vehicle locator lights, etc.) after a aftermarket headunit is installed? If this is possible, how would you do so?

I pretty much did not understand anything after you finished the discussion of the app. All the wiring discussion was very confusing.

carson doran I think only metra makes a dash kit at the moment. It's a fairly big dash kit. It is going to be metra part 99-7612 if the dash is silver or 99-7612b if it is black. Not sure if any other company makes it.

Hey Dean, do they create an adapter I can use to have my steering wheel controls mimic the hitting of the home button or map button on my 7000nex? I know I can get the usual volume up/down and next /prev but can the adapter send the home or map button signal? Thanks

Beware: Bought this device. On the movie it seems good, but when I opened the beautiful Chinese package & connected the device via an USB cable to my PC, the Autoleads SW showed: "Device Connected: None!" The software started blinking not allowing you to do anything, neither open the Firmware menu or anything else. The LED light on the device was blinking in green. Total waste of time & money! At least Autoleads should check the Chinese production.
