World record on December 19, 2023.
A nice, solid run overall! Almost skipped past 4.52M and got 4.53M lol. 4.54M is most certainly possible since I missed 4 ghosts at the very end. Maybe I'll try to achieve that score at some point, but for now I'm happy with this improvement, and I think I'll try to improve a different score next!
Also, with this improvement. I've now achieved a new milestone for Game Mode Total, Total for all Courses. 132.6M, yay!

Congrats on the new high score! BTW, 4:45, was that a new strategy or something you just did on the fly?

Thank you! That strategy I utilized isn't new, I saw someone use it before, but I never used it until recently. Usually it's better to go through that part of the course by eating all the ghosts with the power pellet active the whole time as it gives you more points. But I looked more into the strategy at 4:45, and while it doesn't give as much points, it does save about 1.5 seconds over the other strategy, but it's a little risky from my experience, as Blinky tends to get in the way a lot in that section doing it this way. But if it's successful, then I save time and don't lose too much points, which I found this strategy to be slightly better for that reason. After getting slowed down at 4:25, I decided to take the risk as I noticed the time I had remaining wasn't what I was looking for in order to reach the final ghost train, and the risk paid off!

@mrhollwood Then try it out. Do a few test runs and see if that improves anything. That's one of the great things about gaming, people always find new things when they least expect it. By the way, what's next?

@@KGershkoff I think this strategy at 4:45 is better since even though I lose some points, I gain 1.5 seconds over the other strategy. And I can use this extra time to make up the points lost. However, I don't think doing this strategy 2-3 times will be too beneficial. I think this because there's not too many opportunities to eat ghosts and use up the extra 1.5 seconds if I used the route a second time. But maybe if I got lucky and had a lot of ghosts get in my path and I don't have to go too much out of way for them. Then I could see it being better to use this strategy more than once. Also, I plan to do Championship 2 5 mins next!

Bloody good job mate! I can't believe people re still getting world records in this game. Goes to show how timeless and enjoyable its design is... Unlike its sequel. Leaves a bad tasted in my mouth every time I play it.
