Andrew Nembhard, the No. 31 overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft out of Gonzaga University, knocked down a three as time expired in regulation to lift the Indiana Pacers over the Los Angeles Lakers, 116-115, after trailing by as many as 17 points in the 4th quarter. Tyrese Haliburton led the way for the Pacers with 24 points, 7 rebounds, 14 assists, and 0 turnovers, while Bennedict Mathurin added 23 points and 8 rebounds in the victory. Anthony Davis tallied 25 points, 13 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 blocks for the Lakers, while Russell Westbrook (24 points, 6 assists) and LeBron James (21 points, 7 rebounds) added a combined 45 points. The Pacers improve to 12-8 on the season, while the Lakers fall to 7-12.

I think it should have been Reeves, Lonnie Walker, LBJ, AD, and Thomas Bryant closing out the game in the last 5 minutes. No way there should have been 2 point guards out there in Denis Schroder and Westbrook. Westbrook had more shot attempts than AD, with 6 turnovers. M. Turner was matching AD defensively, so why not bring in T. Bryant to free up AD? It's ok to go big to slow down the game and get some stops. LBJ/Reeves provides enough passing in that situation. You don't need 4 ball handlers when up by 20. Lazy coaching in this game. We had the 4th best team in the East beat.

Ninety-eight percent of the blame for the reversal lies with James. Not pulling West when the Lakers were up by 17 points would have been a win for the Lakers.
