Te podría recomendar algunas joyitas de la ciudad. Pero lo que sería mejor es visitar los pueblos cercanos que tienen mucha más historia de orígenes esencialmente británicos por la actividad minera, esto en el llamado "corredor de la montaña" junto con bosques, parques y cuerpos de agua para pasar un buen rato.

Sí amigo, si algo te faltó fue que probaras la comida típida del lugar que llaman "paste" que es al final una especie de empanada. Hay una cadena de negocios que se llaman "Pastes Real de Plateros" que preparan de los mejores de la zona para que luego los visites. Nota: Los pastes fueron la comida por excelencia de los mineros desde su comienzo; debido a la influencia inglesa se creó este platillo para que los trabajadores comieran, en la hora del almuerzo, el interior del mismo paste y dejaran la corteza (que es como una trenza) porque no estaban limpias sus manos ni tampoco habían cubiertos.

La parte del video que muestra casas y calles muy coloridas se trata de un macro-mural que en su momento fue el más grande en el mundo. Fue un proyecto que llenó de color algunas de las zonas más marginadas de la ciudad, aunque quedó inconcluso después del cambio de administración.

Grasshoppers were not bad, they were already cooked. In Asia and I'm sure other parts of the country they pop in live bugs.. not ready for that yet!

Morelia I heard is beautiful! My friend is from there and she showed me many beautiful pictures! If you do go to Pachuca, look into Tolontongo waterfalls, about a two hour drive north.. stunning!

It’s a very peaceful city, full of History, there is dry weather almost the year but in less than 15 minutes there a climate forest, small lakes, big trees, that always had took my mind away: a semi deserted place near a forest full of live, even there a town called Real del Monte that you may interested on look forward it

It is cool that you venture in Las palmitas even if they told u it wasn't a safe neighborhood but i would advice you to never do that during twilight or night, listen to my mexican compatriots, if they say is not safe, is not to scare you away, is because it is :) glad you didn't have anymore unpleasant situations but a perro de barrio chasing you lol

I agree with you, I would not explore during the night! Overall I had a great experience, friendly people, and I think people need to see that not ALL of Mexico is Dangerous 😊

Palmitas isn't the safest hood , i could say that is a issue , because is one of the most dangerous hoods in city

I know it used to be a lot more dangerous but it has taken major steps to become better. I came across many friendly people who were happy to see me there🇲🇽

Personally I think it's a good alternative to Mexico City. It's 2 hours away and does not feel crowded. The main square is very beautiful with lots of shops and restaurants. To the North you have beautiful national parks and I felt very safe walking around the city and on the outskirts at night! Again, I was only sightseeing so I can't be a great resource for how life is there on day-to-day basis but it is a stunning city, in my opinion!
