Pachycephalosaurus (Gr. "fat-headed reptile") is a genus represented by a single species of pachycephalosaurinid marginocephalic dinosaur, which lived at the end of the Cretaceous period, approximately 68 to 65 million years ago, in the Maastrichtian, in what is now North America. His remains have been found in Montana, South Dakota and Wyoming.
It appears in the movie The Lost World: Jurassic Park and in the second novel where Richard Levine mistakes it for a Gravitholus albertae but later realizes that it is a Pachycephalosaurus Wyomingensis and in its adaptation to the big screen
