zach rotondo it was a long time ago. Within sight of the Columbia. The nickel version would be; I came back to the camp, but camp was gone. Just a couple tent stakes laying there lol. Lesson learned.

where is the best spot to jump on the trail if section hiking Oregon or Washington? any recommendations?

Clinton Novak checkout Goat Rocks Wilderness and North Cascades Park in Washington. NCP is a bit more remote, but worth it. And for Oregon check out Three Sisters Wilderness. Those are my three favorite sections in Oregon/Washington.

Looks like I'm only going to get a month to be on trail... How far could one get if starting in Oregon? And I've been enjoying your series. Looks like a great trip. I'm wondering how many Mcdoubles to pack? LoL
