6:33 Those mountains are awe inspiring, even more so when you remember that they are volcanos.

I’m getting caught up on the videos after being out on the North Country Trail in the Allegheny National Forest for a few days. I just want to say how much I enjoy Bigfoot’s input and contributions to these videos. It’s cool that you found someone to hike such a big piece of the trail with. Okay. I think I have time to watch one more before Wheel of Fortune comes on. :)

Wow, your day across the Knife's Edge was perfect! I had a clear morning, but weather came in when I started crossing it. Right after, there was a fire detour from the burn which you commented about. Two of my brothers picked me up and whisked me away to Packwood for breakfast. Afterwards, I spent too much time at the cracker barrel too; it was grey and damp out. I think, in sheer beauty, Washington, especially the North Cascades, blows the Sierra out of the water. The Sierra has a lot of grey granite, while Washington has much more color. Thanks for sharing your hike!

Well, you have convinced me Frozen. I will hike the entire length of PCT in Washington state in one go! Then plan from there……. Unfortunately I cannot afford 5-6 months to do it all in one go!! Thank you, and Bigfoot for the inspiration!!

The blisters look like poison ivy or poison oak. The rashes can form huge blisters like that. Benadryl every day. Calamine lotion might help too.

Yes they also tend to run linear and this rash is on your sock line. It’s plant contact. 🥴🥾🥾⛺️❤️🩹

I’ve watched other people hike this trail in previous years and were faced with the same dilemma you guys are facing now. You have to do what you have to do to stay safe. The fires out there are ridiculously unpredictable. It seems every year it’s the same when it comes to the fires. ❤

The spot on Goat Rocks where you can see Mt Adams, St Helens, and Rainier if you hike down to the edge there are camp spots. That is where I camped on my first SOBO PCT section. It's a magical spot. I'm going to try to make it my last camp when I wrap up my section thru hike as a victory lap between Trout Lake and White Pass. Your 2026 plan sounds great. You can't miss Glacier Peak.

The big difference between the Sierras and the Cascades is elevation. Much of the Sierra section of the PCT is above the tree line so there's not a lot of green.

Frozen, thanks for letting us follow you on your adventures! Regarding the bottle bidet (thinking of going this route), do you use another, smaller water bottle when you use it? I'm having anxiety about using my drinking water bottle down there! LOL....
@FrozensAdventures4 ай бұрын
No I used my clean water, the angle of the bidet makes it nearly impossible for backsplash unless you are putting the bidet up your butt =P

Sorry, Frozen you are incorrect. That does not look like the Sierras at all. You are still in the volcanic cascade range. The Sierras were formed by glaciers and the mountains are made of granite so they’re light color. Just so you know. Hike the John Muir trail soon.

Either way I bet the Sierra is even more beautiful without the snow.
