The amount of diligence, attention to detail, and work put into these is exhausting. Wow!

Oh man... I was definitely sold on the sensory aspects of this at the end - especially the scented coconut oil. Say no more to a yardy! I have some on a shelf behind me, lol. The creative process was very interesting to hear about. There were so many materials I'd never heard of. I'd love to touch, hear, and smell too. 😌

It makes me so sad that beautiful First Nation and Indigenous cultures like this have been attacked and nearly wiped out. The beauty and knowledge that are lost to cultural genocides, which are still happening, is staggering.

Tapa very similar to Batik of Indonesia and Malaysia, and roof style 'Joglo' similar to Fiji Bure Kalou and Jineng similar to Samoa, Tonga, Niue, Wallis and Futuna 'Fale'. all with stone foundation on top, and similar drywall/stonewall style. but Pacific islander do not have metal, horse and rice which they lost, but they brought chicken, rats, taro, banana with them
