If included in the Rugby Championship....Fiji can easily beat Australia and Argentina both home and away and will not be easy beats by South Africa and NZ especially if they get a home fixture against them. Fiji actually plays better without the northern hemisphere players since their coach and players are both same as the Drua....they understand each other's game so well. Their flyhalf, scrumhalf being the Drua man is a bonus. If their is a promotion relegation every year.... Australia and Argentina might end up in PNC ....give Fiji a chance and they'll take it with both hands.

@@nancyvenia5447 Fiji beat 3 Tier 1 teams just last year: Japan, England, and Australia in the World Cup. It's not a fluke they're beating these teams this easily. They do play some test with Northern Hemisphere teams. But when it comes to regular competition, obviously the financially feasible option is playing with teams near them, not half a world away.

I think Fiji , Samoa and Tonga should play more games with other countries or NPC Teams and some teams feom the Curry cup compettion in SA. Bottom line is we just dont have the money and when we have a little bit its squandered away by dishonest officials.

As a neutral to this tournament, the structure of it seems unfair. Tonga haven't been great, but I can't imagine the US or Canada are any better. Feels like it was set up to ensure a Japan vs Fiji final

It’s setup to get the top two teams in the final. If the two strongest teams are in the same group, they will both win their respective semi-finals. Only the third place team in the competition might place fifth incorrectly, but I struggle to believe Tonga is better than Japan.

One does wonder how interesting it would be if Aussie A and the Maori were brought back in like in previous iterations of the comp. But anyways it's interesting to also know how helpful it would be to Tonga and Samoa having their own respective teams like the Drua for Fiji despite Moana Pasifika repping the tokouso boys together and not just all Pasifika. For now, unless "Sanzy" invites Fiji and Japan to TRC beyond that WL comp in 2026, the Flying Fijians are pretty much letting the Drua boys have some fun in the PNC with players from other SR teams and JRLO on depth being displayed here.

Not sure why we didn't see the red card if this is a highlights package. It was clearly after this that Tonga came back into the game, and then after things were balanced Fiji ran away with it. It's not about the red card itself, but it obviously had a profound impact on the game. These world rugby highlights packages don't do these games and nations justice.
