​@michaelbrown984 Not for me. Coming from South Wales and having seen them all at their peak, Gerald Davies had the fastest side step at pace, closely followed by David Watkins. Phil Bennett was a fantastic player but his side step was far more deliberate and not executed at the same pace.

You should've gone back to 1972, the Barbarians v the All Blacks, and Phil Bennett's double sidestep at the start of a wonderful move that saw Gareth Edwards crash over in the corner. This is considered the greatest try of all time because of the number of players who supported the breakout and handled the ball.

The king of side step I ever seen in the history of rugby is Filimone Delasau from Fiji 🇫🇯. I never seen any rugby player to have a striking side step on both left and right footy.
