6:01 Errhm acktually it's explain in the film that Stacker was a solo pilot before the union lobbied for dual pilots in the big robots and thats why he doesn't pilot anymore and has nosebleeds and brain damage

Pacific rim was so peak. The designs of the kaiju, the jaegers, the world, the story, how dark it was, the ost, etc. Every single impact had so much _weight_ behind it

in the movie i was watching the fight scene between the gypsy danger and the flying kaiju during that i saw the jaeger, had a sword, and a literal functional engine on the chest that i thought was just cosmetic. nope. all this time, the guy had a sword and a literal engine on his chest, would've been useful in previous fights ffs

It is beyond me why this movie has such a strong cult following since it's barely better than the Bayformers, but it's just as vapid like any other sci-fi movie about the apocalypse. The echo chamber surrounding this flick works as an argument to disprove human intelligence.
