They moved too fast, too easily, they got it all wrong. What made the jaegers raw, brutal pieces of mechanical engineering in the first movie was actually how slow and heavy their moves were.

This is from the wiki: Mark-6 Jaegers were designed with sleeker frames and use high octane burst replusors. Speed and velocity were increased, and the armor plating of the Jaegers utilized newer, lightweight reinforced steel armor material. The fighting strength of Mark-6 Jaegers utilize over 30,000 pounds of force, allowing them to move in ways that were not possible for their predecessors.

There is so much wrong with this movie that I can’t put it all here, but I want to explain the biggest flaw here in my opinion. In the first movie, you could tell that the jeagers were brutal, massive, killing machines. Obviously the writers and directors of this movie thought that was because of how much damage they could do even though they were so big. So what did they do? They made the jeagers move swiftly. The problem? That’s not what made the jeagers so brutal and fucking awesome. The ENTIRE reason jeagers where so cool was also the reason the movie was so popular. Big robots fight big monsters. The jeagers moving faster completely gave away the sense of their sheer size, thus taking it from big robots fight big monsters, to robots fight big monsters.

@@DaOfficialYGamerzYT Makes sense in the lore, but it's physically impossible for such a massive robot to move the way they do, even the Striker Eureka felt unrealisitic in the first movie, but they did their best to show that is is still a massive robot and can't move very fast.

Not to mention the idea of letting pre-teens to operate such highly expensive equipment fr... Adding memes, children, and cultural diversity doesnt make every movie good honestly... These mfs need to get their heads out of their asses. Another thing is the insane jeager durability... I came to watch pacific rim to see big ass mechs fight big ass aliens, not watch a close up battle between two pieces of plastic with ear-ripping sound effects...

the fact that Pacific rim was better than the sequel. they are Too fast. and also they dont even realize it wasn't Manned by pilots until they killed it, they would've realized it had NO Pilots because the whole time they Cut the side of fury's Torso but it didnt even react as if its taking it like a chad, and also didn't even react to being Stabbed by the neck OR getting a Headbutt until it got it's Core ripped out.

Dude I wouldnt move if I was stabbed in the neck because that is just a bruh moment. And obsidian reacted when it got headbutted, noticed the momentary flicker and the sloppy attack that came with it.

Everyone despising this film with every fiber of their beings. But we have to admit; the kaijus are insane in this, both in their designs and abilities, the kaiju/jaeger hybrids are in interesting addition to the franchise, and even the jaegers themselves are look great with their futuristic build and weapons

The only thing i hate about this movie is why they sending out unexperienced emotionally unstable teenagers even Jake said it 12:01, pretty sure they got an experienced Jaegers from the first movie that's why many fans said the sequel was bad About their movement is so much faster and doesn't look heavy ok i agree with that, Striker Eureka the fastest Jaegers had that movement but it still having a feel heavy to move meanwhile in Uprising it's just i don't see that kind of struggle in the Mark 6 Jaegers, and about Mako they killed her off too early that's why many PR fans said Uprising is just a fanfiction lack of unforgettable moments such as Gipsy Danger used a ship to fight Kaiju

Striker Eureka wasn't exactly fast but more fluid I would say. Compared to jaegers like Gipsy Danger and Crimson Typhoon, Striker Eureka lost the robotic movements and gained a more fluid/natural movement. The jaegers in this movie are fast, unbelievably so in fact. Its kind of crazy how they expect us to believe that they went from a MK5 jaegers becoming more fluid in its movements to MK6 which are practically gymnast robots in just 10 years. These are multi-million pound robots we are talking about here, with likely millions of moving parts big and small. That's a giant advancement to make for such complex machines in just 10 years.

Prefiero mil veces la primera película, la primera de sentía tan épica cuando veíamos robots gigantes y monstruos enormes peleando, en esta película no siento eso, también le falto más seriedad a la película, la primera vimos al protagonista vimos que la muerte estaba presente y se plasmaba bien en la pantalla, había personajes que realmente querías ver en la película, el ambiente militar estaba bien creado en su contexto, en esta vemos a unos adolescentes que nadie quiere ver y nos dieron unos personajes que a nadie les importan. En fin, recordaré esta franquicia por lo logrado en su primer película.

While the Jaeger fights still look cool, it doesn't have the sense of scale like in the 1st film, literally no weight to each movement at all, it's like the Jaegers here are made out of cardboard.

It's a giant robot that is very tall and very big...its height can even exceed a skyscraper. but why when fighting on the sea of ice, why is the ice not easily destroyed?!... even the robot runs fast but the ice plateau is not destroyed?!!... whereas humans can sometimes destroy the ice easily with a few jump times!!!
