I like in previous episodes they can't stand eachother, and in future episodes they don't really interact much. But one banger episode was enough for Dipcifica to become the most popular gravity falls ship

Some spoiler-free things: 1. The ghost's name is Archibald Corduroy, so he's Wendy's ancestor. 2. Matt Braly wrote this episode, and won an ANNIE AWARD for it! He went on to create Amphibia so he's doing great. 3. The pose Dipper made when he turned into wood is the one the shapeshifter made when he said it would be his last form. Spooky. 4. All of the zombies that came to life in scary-oke are all the lumberjacks who died, soooooo yeah. Kids show, everybody! 5. Yes, we ship Dipper and Pacifica. I know I do. Dipcifica 4 lyfe! (I think Pacipper sounds better but the other name is pretty much canon at this point.) 6. This episode might be my favorite, but the next one is the BEST.

Dipper x pacifica, aka dipcifica, is honestly the best ship in the show. And its pretty much canon. At least, the feelings are. Irl journal 3 shows dipper felt a vibe between him and pacifica and that mabel read it, and it's canon that pacifica tried to text dipper embarrassed about the hug, but ended up actually texting mabel by mistake

The ghost asked Dipper to show him the trees knowing that he would hold the mirror up high. He then caused the mirror to heat up, burning Dipper’s hand and causing him to drop it causing it to smash and allowing him to escape

One Dipper was turned to wood he made the exact same pose that the shapeshifter said Dipper would be frozen in for all eternity. This has sparked the theory online that Pacifica actually changed Dipper's fate from what it was supposed to be.

Great reaction. Just so you know the bell that Pacifica's parents were using is supposed to imply that her parents would hurt her and listen to the sound of the bell so much that it causes Pacifica to feel pain just from hearing the bell. So it is a big deal Pacifica overcoming that to do the right thing.

Yes, Dipper's notes in the published "Journal 3" include a photo he's seen at Wendy's house of family ancestor, Archibald Corduroy, who is clearly the lumberjack as we see him in the flashbacks.
