NO, you do NOT goof around too much! Love the entertainment! Have a great day Jimmy! (ps - searched the comments on the videos you said, saw nothing out of the way - I guess youtube won't let them publish?)

I know all about that GRIP LEAVING! lol! I had a good one the other day Jimmy! Customer told me I was high on price for Rear main seal replacement on 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, I quoted 3500! They took it to a shop in Phoenix and they charged them 4200, and they still have leak! Called me and ask what to do? Lol
@JimmyMakingitwork4 күн бұрын
That is the best feeling when someone else tells you we’re right! They need to try out their warranty services. :)
@onenikkione3 күн бұрын
Tell them to first talk to the shop that did the main seal if no help then contact their credit card company and reverse the charges

"If you don't know for sure, dont do it." That is a damn good way to think about it. I have been teaching my kids, "just because you can, doesnt mean you should."
@JimmyMakingitwork4 күн бұрын
Haha best plan! Ask for help if you don’t know! :)

The two battery setup on the chryslers is for start stop and it sucks. When one battery goes bad, it draws down the other and causes alot of problems. I replace both batteries 9 times out of 10 when they come through for battery issues.
@JimmyMakingitwork4 күн бұрын
Yeah I try and do both, but sometimes there is friction, lol.

I just bought some new wiper blades for my 2016 Tundra from Sams club on sale. Peak brand $6 each. It took me forever to figure out which adapter to use and how to install them. I love to get new wiper blades. They just work so good!!
@JimmyMakingitwork4 күн бұрын
Yeah they make a big difference for sure Mike!

Loving the new Intro, Jimmy! The wiper blade thing is right up my ally. Something l would definitely do. Then I'd freak out, panic, possibly remove the blade again. lmao. Merry Christmas Jimmy 🎄

Thanks for the kind words on the intro, always looking to improve! Appreciate you Biggiefitz!

Leaving the wiper blade protector on has happened to a million of us. It was still funny to see it happen to a a mechanic of your stature. I'm glad that you left it in for us to see.

Thanks! I try to show the good and the bad so it's more relatable to my real day! :)

I see where the Subaru mechanic was giving Dave’s auto heck for quoting 15000 for a new Subaru engine, he said he could rebuild it for 5000 or 6000 plus he said that engine may go another 100000. Dave was going by engine noise and oil analysis. Don’t know if he even did a compression check. Subaru man said these engines are always loud
@JimmyMakingitwork4 күн бұрын
That is a good point! Sometimes you can trust your ears but nothing beats a compression test, I'm sure you know! Worst case take the tin pan down and see what can be seen inside. But cylinder leak down should be a good indicator. Piston rings usually get pretty sad when it’s worn out.

Love the Corvair project, yesterday’s video you see the young techs walking by thinking “I’m glad they gave Jimmy that ticket” Merry Christmas my friend.

I know this has nothing to do with the video but I have a quick question have you worked on a 2020 or around that era of a Grand Cherokee I'm taking the transfer case I'll in the drive lines not wanting to slide back I don't know cuz exhaust is covering it Will it slide back or do I need to drop the whole thing?
@JimmyMakingitwork3 күн бұрын
I have not worked on one that new yet. But they have always slid off the splines in the past. I can look in our Alldata and let you know? Post another comment to remind me in an hour or two and I’ll put it there. :)
