Three out of 3, but that’s not because I’m smart, but only because I’ve been following you for a few years and signed up to your stainless and aluminium courses. Another outstanding video. I always learn something new on every one of your videos. You’re the best welding instructor I ever had.

3/3. Greenhorn here! Bought a Tig off marketplace. I'm practising in the shed, come in to watch a video or 2. Go out and improve. Rince & repeat. Your communication in these videos is amazing!

I went three for three, mostly due to me going through the stainless steel course with Dusty and watching his videos. By sticking to the basic of the stainless steel course and understanding how to adjust the machine and torch, I have been able to weld aluminum and cast iron with good results. I plan on taking Dusty's aluminum course this fall.

I also was a 2 out of 3, which amazes me because the first time I picked up a tig torch was 2016. I tried it out, put it down now all of a sudden it's 2024! My answers were mainly because I subscribe to you and watch what you teach. One of these days I'm going to break out my new tig welder and really learn (if I'm still alive!!). At 72 my time seems to be moving too fast! LOL! Thank you for your interesting and informative videos.

Great to hear from you my friend! I really appreciate you checking out the video, and it's really awesome to hear that you are still learning and having fun with it, you should absolutely bust out the machine and play around! A ton of fun to be had, let me know how it goes and have a great weekend!

Held my breath for the last one, but 3 for 3. I credit this to being trained by Dusty. Learned a lot. And welded my way through a pile of coupons in the all-important practicing.

3/3, great refresher. I thought that the point of using gas lenses was to lower the gas consumption. To me It doesn't really matter as I tend to set my gas flow a little on the high side in order to compensate for drafts. tyvm

Got 3 for 3 but I still have difficulty making my welds look like that. Also, I have a hard time carrying the amount of metal that Dusty uses. I use 3/32 and he uses the 1/8 rod. I usually run my heat around 150 on the Everlast 210.

I want your quality video about simple mig welding of carbon steel. Struggling to make my seams beautiful enough - and still grinding out any stacks

If you mean butt joints when you say seams, then try grinding a groove before welding so your weld lays flatter. ✌️

All u youtube welders never mention that weld like that is wildly dependent on the type of aluminum ur welding on. Make that same weld on sand cast aluminum is going to be a lot harder and very different settings/tactics than whats shown in this vid. You guys always use those dumb polished aluminum coupons plates which is about as easy as it get to accomplish aesthetically pleasing welds. Which brings up the the last point, the aesthetics of a weld ≠ the quality of the weld...
