The rear hatch on the 2018 Stepwagon is amazing. Why didn’t think of something like that before??? Sadly, it goes all the way down the rear face of the van and does not allow for the “5mph bumper” rules we have here in North America.

If these vehicles ship in a container, are you able to pack more than one vehicle in a container to in order to cut down on freight costs?

Absolutely more than 1 per container. You would be surprised how many cars they can squeeze into a container.

What is the most you have seen? Do they have a way to stack them 2 high (if sedans)? Seems you could fit at least 2 in terms of length (maybe 3 for shortest models)

Yes, they can be stacked if the dimensions work out. 4 cars in single container is not uncommon.

For the equivalent price of this Stepwagon (say, roughly $6000CAD) you could get a high mileage, well worn, poorly maintained Dodge Caravan...or similar mini van from 2010 + up. The choice is obvious to me as to which I would want.
