I've never heard of this vehicle but I love it already. Unfortunately, most Americans wouldn't appreciate the StepWgn. I only have one child and I'd totally buy this because it'd make my families road trips a total joy.

The turnaround front seats was a rare option on 2002 models - Our has it and we love the fact we can have a picnic inside! The key to knowing if yours has this option is to look for the sticker on the side of the driver's seat.

This Honda has better build quality and way better materials than any other I've ever seen, and also the biggest tail lights

I love the practicality of Honda's more utilitarian designs. Honda has the best interior design when it comes to utility, IMHO.

From what I've seen and those I know that have purchased a car through him have very high praise. I've followed his company for years and have seen consistently increasing service quality. Being in a position to pick up a car soon-ish, I wont hesitate to commission a car purchase through his company. Also, with the addition of staff since I first started watching.. Has really stepped up the game.

I think Derek is "dad geeking" on the mini van a little too much. Lol lol lol Thanks for the video. I've always wanted to know about the seat configurations in more detail. Btw. That engine is a k series engine. Probably a detuned type R version. The Canadian K20s push out about 160 for non sport models.

My family had owned the same model for 15 years until a few hours ago, and we did not know how crazy the seats combination could be until now :((( it is sad seeing its gone:(((

At 9:17 you folded the table down, can you then tilt the seat up to make it face backwards to create even more space? looks like you could fit a small motorbike in doing this.

Am I crazy, or do I see the Honda Element in this "other CRV derived" Honda ? Now that I got the rear seat section, this is a cousin to the Element! Awesome. Long Wheelbase Element. Epic. Might need this in AWD. So looking at the Wikipedia entries, it looks like Honda took the 2nd gen Stepwgn, chopped 10 inches of the wheelbase, 5 inches off of the length and added 5 inches in width. I'd be curious about the interiour width between the two.,

I like these so much. but the lacking of a dual sliding door makes them loose appeal. The Toyota Noah, or Voxy, or Nissan Serena, are very similar Vans, but have the dual sliding doors which makes it so you can take your kids out of the car on the non traffic side in Canada. If honda made these with dual sliders i would be all over it.

Can this be converted to left hand drive? very utility oriented I can use this kind of van. engine is good for city. I'm sure it also gets good mileage
@kencallaway3445
@kencallaway3445 7 жыл бұрын
Mostly, it depends on fit and finish. In short, yes. It can be converted to LHD. However it is a very involved process even with a half cut from another one that's LHD. Otherwise you'll have to customize or buy the following parts from a LHD country that were original markets for these vans: Wire harness firewall pedal box Dashboard (to display) Move the Brake Booster (and Clutch cylinder if manual) Brake lines Speedometer cable may not reach Power Windows - Door Cards (optional if you like controlling more than one window) Door lock switched to other side (optional)

I dont understand, this minivans in asia have a lot of headroom while the one in NA doesn't...weird...oh the minivan thing is not restricted to Japan. In Hong Kong, I see a lot of Alphards, Vellfires and Noahs. Don't really notice a lot of Stepwgn though. Maybe if they make minivan a luxury thing in NA, then people will start to like them?

So I have to ask the obvious question then. What is Nissan's direct competitor? Do they even have one. Honda is not a large brand in my country, Nissan or Toyota versions of the same car would feel safer.
