Peter Boal has exquisite placement and execution, and his great generosity shines through in the loveliness of his dancers.

Liked this class! Uncomplicated, effective exercises set to clear, targeted music. I love that Master Boal really gets you to focus on how the movement should feel rather than just on how it ought to look. Plus he has the most pleasant voice. The demonstrators showed style and individuality, rare for this type of class video. This class made me feel like an artist, not a technician. Thank you

I love his commentary on the small details to focus on. Sometimes it's easy to allow your muscles to do the work for you but it's nice to have a reminder about details like shoulder blades placement, air in lungs, etc.

Peter Boal’s calm energy and positive focus is so motivating. I literally love his voice, taking class from him would be cathartic! His variations are beautiful- he uses the whole body and even watching, I can feel the flow. The dancer in blue is dreamy 😊 and the music is perfect 🤩 What a wonderful video, its about to become my three times a week best ballet friend.

I'm transcribing this class to my online students on another computer. I love how all the exercises make sense, are not mind-boggling (that doesn't really make things more advanced in my opinion) and warm up the body beautifully. Peter Boal you are amazing! One good thing coming out of this pandemic is the ability to give students variety and classes from excellent Master teachers that I otherwise wouldn't do.

I used to love taking open class at PNB, must be 10+ years since I did one. I was about to join a wheelchair dance group that's an outreach project of a ballet company in England, but corona virus put the lid on that. Maybe next year.

Could you upload it again without the intros for each exercise? I love the class, but when you start becoming familiar with the exercises the breaks are quite long; so it would be a great cardio exercise to do them in a row without interruption 🥰
@calsunlight4 жыл бұрын
But that’s how real ballet classes are like and this is just that
@noopy994 жыл бұрын
@@calsunlight I know how ballet classes work. I have been dancing my entire life. However, on KZbin are examples where they continue the exercises without interruption in addition to the traditional ballet classes to get the heart rate up. Furthermore, there are books recommending continuous exercises for warm-up. Anyways, it was just a suggestion/idea, not a critique.

It's my 4th year in ballet and I'm 17 years old. I'm really looking for motivation to lose weight. And I've been trying I just dont feel content. Like, I want to feel good while I dance ballet, not gross... and while ballet is my motivation, I feel like my metabolism is just letting me down.

This is a warmup, so they're focusing on the aspect of their bodies that they feel need more work that day. Only when it comes to repertoire, you need to be in sync.
