I enjoyed the cooler weather and my garden loved the 0.14” of rain. The Tempest station works great, it’s great to know exactly how much rain my yard got, not how wet the pavement got at the airport. Thanks for your great info

Except that the Tempest haptic rain sensor is frequently way off. Do you back it up with an actual rain gauge?

Greetings from Friday Harbor, nice rain Monday & the marine layer has been thick the last 2 mornings. Alot of horns on the water with the heavy fog. Looking forward to warming up but then not much wind for sailing. Cheers Michael

Thank you so much for the informative and useful daily weather forecasts, Michael. I've been watching your videos for the past two years and you've been immensely helpful to me, especially considering that I spend a lot of time outside. Keep it up 👍

I'm in Eastern Washington, after watching your video, I posted the models and forecast for the Monsoon you say is coming. it was quickly pointed out that NO ONE is agreeing with your forecast, and that we are supposed to have a mild overcast with no lightning, smoke, or convective cells. I'm sticking with your forecast because if I'm right all of the area forecasters will be wrong, or I will be. I ordered the Tempest unit, and when I get it, I'll install it, ask you to add Yakima to your forecasts, and likely give you a bit of pay to do it. Sure hope you're right on this one, don't want egg on my face! LOL

Thanks Michael! I'd trade the upcoming weather for a 20degree, 20 MPH east wind in a heartbeat. Waiting patiently. ☃❄🍃

Great presentation, Michael! The more often I watch your videos, the more I understand. The smoke and lightning potentials are especially helpful.

Anytime the term "X degrees above average" is used, the 'average' is generally a recent historic 30 year (I believe) value. If a 100 year 'average' were taken (a more honest figure), then X would be substantially larger. I look at 2024 as the year that climate change, coast to coast, really ratcheted up.

It's honestly been real bad since 2020. It's crazy how fast human caused climate change has ramped up in the last 15 years especially. I'm extremely concerned for the future. It's a major threat to all life on the planet honestly. A lot of people don't understand this.

Ugh, Boss, I didn’t return to Washington from Texas because of this! But I worry about the drought maps and what yearly drought accumulation does to area aquifers. ❤❤❤

Gotta drive through central WA on Monday, from Idaho to Seattle. And the A/C just failed in my wife's go kart. Might hafta borrow my daughter's car for the week. Good thing it is technically still mine so she can;t say no. 😎

Whoever says: "it's just summer, it gets hot", shows that they're not that intelligent enough to understand that it is not normal summer at all, as we're experiencing those temps by four to eight degrees above of the normal temps that we usually get in the summer. Global warming is real, as considering that there is overwhelming scientific evidence supporting it, as the global degree is like 1.5C+ higher than normal. In next five to ten years, we'll have far more hotter summers. So, quit calling it: "it's just summer, it gets hot". Be educated and be prepared for it. Nonetheless, excellent work, Michael, for extended forecast, now I know to prepare for next ten days of hell.
