We know you're the best. I love to hear "everything" you have to tell us. I am learning from you and I love it. I believed your predictions and know it came down hard on some people. We are down a hill to the west and the wind went right over us. I looked out and could hear the roaring but none of our trees were moving. We have 80 foot firs. Not even a branch came down.

This guy is good. I like how he goes over things well and tells it how it is. The other weather channels are like ow its nothing just high winds. But seattle got hammered. He was right.

I was telling buddies and neighbors to strap things down and prep for an outage they said I was crazy. South whidbey actually ended up trending toward the Euro / GFS side and didn't come close to the HRRR and NAM expectations. What's wild is I could hear the wind up high, maybe 100 - 500ft up, but it was rarely mixing down to the surface. We really dodged the worst, which is funny because everyone here is prepared for storms since we always get blown out, and see so many outages, but the tables turned on this one and we're watching everyone else this time! Hope everyone gets back online soon!

Worked outside near Astoria today. Much more rain than I was expecting. ~1/2 inch since morning. More thunder than I’ve heard in a very long time.

We had some good thunderstorms around 530 this morning here in Tillamook and last night the storm gave us 60 mile and hour winds and heavy rain for about 3 hours or more it was great thank God we didn't loose power

Hey Michael. First of, I'm going to trust you over almost anyone when it comes to weather. I like your calm, collected style. I love that you give us all the info in a no nonsense way. Question. If I'm flying back into SeaTac on Friday from MSP, am I better trying to come in early or waiting it out til like 1600 or 1700? I know on the 06Z runs you were showing it looks like around 0800 or so is when the front was moving up the coast. What are you thinking?

The usefulness of information you provide, vastly exceeds the opinions of those who whine 'but but but, syndicated national generic weather blurb'. We no longer live in times that afford such inattention to our surroundings. I might be a newcomer to your channel, but I've had to compile my own local forecasts since 1997 and let me say it again for the kids in the back: The treasure that you provide us via aggregating and distributing raw data from the source, is way handier than spending half hour every morning going over emails and updates from 14 different services.

Well over one million people were without power last night. Keep in mind that the reported number of customers refers to a house or business. Since most houses have two, three, four or more occupants, the official number has to be multiplied.

Yes read them isobars. Winds here outside of Redding California approx 30mph. Rain been coming down none stop. Slight break then back to it. I imagine I am currently on an island surrounded by dry creeks that get roaring.

Typical November weather
@Patrick_RossКүн бұрын
Incorrect. One million plus people without power is not typical. This storm will likely end up being the strongest storm ever measured off the Washington coast. Be thankful it wasn’t closer to the coast!

Last night's storm was in no way typical for any month.

@@Patrick_Ross No it's pretty average. No real big wind storms despite this event, only a little rain and some gusts for Mason county. A week ago we had the same high gusts and heavy rainfall.

@ - Mason County and south didn’t get the winds from this storm. The high winds were mostly in King County and Kitsap County where damage is considerable.
