In the 1960s, (and I think it was ch.9), this bedtime story was ALWAYS cut short on TV. It would start with Jacquie saying they were sitting in their chairs - I'm hearing this on my tablet COMPLETE, for the first time in over 40 years! No wonder Stan was angry when he tried to watch their movies on TV! Also, their short movie, The Chimp, because it was 3 reels instead of 2, about the first ten minutes were always missing at the beginning!

Glad you can finally enjoy it! Yes, for some strange reason many of their films were cut, with often differing versions for the US, UK and Europe! Shame. The same can be said for some releases on DVD. There's an excellent book available that details all these things (and more) entitled The Laurel & Hardy Encyclopedia by Glenn Mitchell (a new updated version was released in 2008).

This might be the funniest moment ever in Laurel and Hardy. I seriously cried laughing at this when I first saw it XD Just the image of a little girl telling a story in funny voices making Stan jump when he's trying to doze off is the funniest thing ever XD! This might be one of the best films they did
