Packing for my contract was so tough but it’s good to see I followed the same kinda rules you did 😂 although some of the dresses I had to pack as a singer were tough to pack, thank goodness for vacuum sealed bags.

As someone from Alaska your puffer jacket would be good for Winter/Fall/ Spring and maybe even summer if your bloods thin. Unless you’re going to the glaciers or it’s winter you don’t need anything too crazy warm. For summer and spring seasons I would recommend a water resistant/ wind breaker type of jacket. It doesn’t have to be super warm or thick just something resistant for if it’s rainy that you can throw on so you don’t get soaked. As someone who works on a fishing boat and lives coastal a wind/water resistant jacket over a sweatshirt should have you covered for most weather in AK.

I reckon the amount you’re packed looks about right considering the contract length and limited space on the ship👍🏻, I always find myself over packing when I travel🤦🏻‍♂️. When do you arrive on the ship?

Kristine quick question: I briefly watched the video on rehearsals and saw that you will be working with some you worked with on Odyssey.. from a little research I’ve learned there are MANY RC cruise ships.. so how often is it likely throughout a performing career you will work with people you have worked with before on another ship? And on average, how many contracts would a performer in best case scenarios, do in a career of performing for Royal Caribbean? And is it maybe likely throughout a career you may perform on several different cruise lines? Thanks, Scott

Hi great questions! To be honest, everyone’s stories are so different. I have friends who have worked for different cruise lines. Some have stuck with Royal. Some only do 1 or 2 and some do 8 or 9. Some have contracts spread around the fleet and some stay on the same ship because they love those shows. It varies for everyone! I will say typically, performers tend to stick to the same class of ship because casting usually casts those shows with very similar looks. So it’s very common that performers on Odyssey move to Spectrum, Ovation, or Quatum because the shows are casted similarly and the ships are very similar but have different itineraries. I hope that answers your questions!

Of all the KZbin I watch I have found this very fascinating. Of the other 2 I’ve watched 1 was your colleague at the same time on the Odyssey and the other performer’s vlog was on a different cruise line I forget which or her name but was in the Hawaiian island chain.(how awesome I served in Hawaii in the army 31 years ago) lol but anyhoo in her vlog there were many similarities as well as differences.. was very informative 😊😊

Yes I do live with my parents in between contracts, and if you’re flying then it depends on the airline.
