I miss packing :( I always pack extra reusable shopping bags for when i hoard snacks to bring home 🤣 and some foldable bags to separate laundry and for extra storage if i can't fit everything in the luggage when it's time to go back

Things I always pack: -RFID-blocking sleeves for my cards, and for my passport if I'm bringing it -if going international or on a non-American-based cruise line - I always check voltage and type of outlet for where I'm going, and my devices/chargers to see whether they'll be compatible as is (most newer devices/chargers are compatible with the voltage differences, but not all, so it's not safe to just assume - my dad has ruined things because he neglected to use a converter) - an outlet converter and outlet adapter (can plug the mini power strip into them if need to charge multiple things at once) -snacks, and at least one meal's worth of food if flying domestically (airport food is absurdly expensive) -my water bottle with built-in purifier that can turn lake water into perfectly clean drinking water

A couple Christmases ago my mom bought me, my sister, and my brother in law all LLBean toiletry cases. Now they don’t really work on a carry-on very well, but I take a lot of road trips and do a lot of house and pet sitting and it’s great. I keep it pre-packed with travel sized versions of my essentials so that I can just go and don’t miss anything. Also, as someone who toured Europe twice as a teen with student groups and has been all over the US, I don’t go anywhere without Pepto-Bismol chewable tablets. They help with just about any kind of travel-related stomach ailment from heartburn to diarrhea and the little sheets they come in take up practically no space. Pepto has kept me from being miserable on multiple occasions.

I have a travel wallet that’s like A5 size that I keep my passport & all my travel documents in which makes it really easy and compact to store all of that. I also always take a spare phone charging cable in case the other one breaks, and I always bring a bunch of snacks in my carry on cause I always find myself really hungry on planes or when I travel in general.

Ohhh my gosh, I’m totally a long-torsoed and short-legged person, too!! Pants are always way too long, but when I sit next to someone who is substantially taller, we’re the same height from waist to head 😂 It’s great to see little tips on looking more proportional!

After running a full fecal panel they found a severe colostridim difficile infection. After a couple rounds of extremely strong antibiotics, it cleared up and my symptoms greatly improved! Praying for your mom!
