I have a RHEL 8.00 YUM server build in locally. Other users get packages from my RHEL 8.00 YUM server. I have to place a package named "scap-workbench" into my YUM server repository manually. I have saved the package "scap-workbench" on Yum server desktop. Now I need to figure out exactly where in my YUM server I have to place this package (scap-workbench) so other users can install it on their machines? I am 100% Windows guy but now I have to handle this RHEL YUM thing? Any help appreciated. Thanks

Hii karan,i think this smoll answer will help you to find the difference between rpm and yum. 1. rpm and yum both are in built package management methods. 2.The main difference is using rpm we can't create repository but it is possible with yum. by using repository we can upgrade our os from one version to other version and automatically dependencies will consider.

I believe this is a little outdated. DNF is now the primary package management tool for RPM based distros.
