Do you stan traditional or digital art?
I recently created a special digital painting as a wedding gift for my friends, so I wanted to show you how I package my digital commissions.
Learn more about my commissions process in my 🔗 in bio.
Once the work is finished, I got a high quality giclée art print made at QSQ Giclee Boutique in Toronto.
I sign, title & add the edition number at the bottom in pencil which is standard practice for prints. Since it was a personal gift, I framed it myself but that’s something I can always organize for collectors. I love the Studio Decor frames from Michaels as they come with double matting.
I also create a certificate of authenticity for both the digital painting and the print. I love a logo embosser sm - mine came from Laddstamps on Etsy.
The printable labels I use come from staples. It’s super useful to be able to print them on a standard printer as I need to make unique, one of a kind labels.
For hand-delivery, I use cake boxes rather than shipping boxes/cardboard (this one came from Micheals). I always package my art carefully, reusing bubble wrap etc from my collection of recycled packaging.
I make sure to include the digital painting DVD, the certificate of authenticity, and a little card. I share digital artworks with my collectors as digital image files via google drive or I put them on a custom disk or drive depending on the preference of the collector. They are huge image files so they can’t just be emailed. I don’t sell my artworks as NFTs due to the environmental cost. But lmk if you have any other creative way to sell digital art with your collectors :)
