The thing I find very annoying is that they only have 23 characters and most of them are unwanted characters by me. Such as the 2 annoying thunderhollow trucks, I don't mind all of Doc's old friends because they were actually important to both Doc and Lightning. Natalie Certain is also unnecessary. While I agree that the character roster of cars 2 was larger than this game, I enjoy this game more because there is more to do as far as modes go, the overall racing atmosphere of this game is more fun than the spy training setting in cars 2. Plus, this game has an open-world playground with special challenges, as well as boss battles that cars 2 didn’t have. Cars 2 may have had more characters, but this game has updated mechanics, graphics, and is an overall more fun experience for me.

Well, if you wanna play a good Cars game play the 1st from 2006, or (especially) the Race-O-Rama. Cars Race O Rama is one of those few games that are "simple", yet are very very good. (5 maps, with radiator springs being a triple one, a nice story, many characters (many more than this one), one of the biggest badasses in the cars franchise (Stinger), there isn't this stupid war-racing concept, there are many races (normal, chase, monster truck), the rustbucket serie, guido kart, 3 playable cars toons and lighting kicks out some of the best designs ever.) Unfortunately it hasn't ovals/speedways, there's just the radiator spring circuit, but it has many many different races, and as I said 5 open-worlds. So, if you want to play a game from cars franchise play race-o-rama, if you wanna play all the franchise play it last, because (imo) it's the best hands down.
