I have both V2 and V1 10L Sling, at first I thought the new design opening will be amazing because with just one zipper in V1 is pain in the butt to open. But in V2, the opening is very small when you unzip it, whereas in V1, yes you can sort of flap the top portion over and makes it much easier to take your camera out. My main set-up is Sony a7riii + 16-35GM, with the narrow opening of the V2 Sling, my eye piece or the camera in general will have to rub against the zipper each time I take it out. PD also removed the two internal side pockets from the V2 Sling where sometimes I will use it to store a microfiber cloth or batteries.

Bought the 10L v2 for the same reason, because of the single zipper on the v1 that actually opens the opposite way to what I'd prefer... And the v2 sucks so bad. It's heading back as we speak. The pockets on the v2 are completely useless, especially the top flap which gets heavy use in my v1. Huge downgrade compared to v1.

The new series are looking nice. However, they inherited the bad front pocket design from the 5L. Because of the stiffness of the construction, whenever you access the front pocket of the 5L, the back of your hand would rub against the zipper's hard teeth. It's annoying and gets really uncomfortable especially in colder weather. 10L with a more flexible front pocket is a lot better from a usability point of view. It's a pity PD didn't use the front pocket design of the 10L on the new 3L and 6L.

How does the iPad Pro 11" (with the Apple keyboard folio) fit into the tablet sleeve of the 6L? Does it fit perfectly or does it also have the issue you showed with the iPad where it sticks up into the magnet?

@@PackHacker2i have the old 10L and can confirm that the material rubs clothing badly. In particular, the grey material is now stained pink due to rubbing on a red goretex raincoat over a 4 week trip through europe. In addition, the seatbelt material used for the straps slips gradually through the adjuster loop, meaning that the bag typically hangs as low as it can go, even if you adjust it to hang higher. Not sure if the V2 bag has the same faulty locking clip on the strap. Otherwise great bag.

Openings on the pockets are different. I have the 5L and just purchased the 6L. Can’t use this bag for every day carry?

Great comparison video! Quick question, how does the 3L compare in size to the 5L V1? External dimensions seem to me the same, but internal dimensions seem to differ by quite a lot. My micro 4/3 set up is small, so I'm looking for something that I can either throw in my laptop backpack or use it on its own when I want to be lightweight. I'm leaning towards the 3L, but since the 5L is on sale at the same price, I'm trying to weigh pros and cons. Thanks!

Hey Ramon - when looking at the 3L and 5L slings together, it's clear to see that the 5L version is larger. However, when we first saw the 3L Everyday Sling V2, we did feel like it looked more like a 5L sling, as it's pretty big. To sum it up, the 5L version does have more space inside, but the 3L sling does feel bigger than 3L. Hope this helps! 😊 - Rebecca

@@PackHacker2 Thanks Rebecca! I truly appreciate the thorough answer. More space in the same form factor is a plus por for the 5L V1, but it seems that the V2 has a better strap, better and easier way to adjust it, as well as the new zippers. I'm almost certain my iPad Pro 10.5 with the Smart Keyboard won't fit in the 5L and definitely not in the 3L, but if I can fit my essential camera kit, and part of my mobile phone set up, then it's a win. Think I'll go with the 5L, and if it is way too much for what I need, I'll exchange it for the 3L. Once again, thanks!!

3L is the most practical bag. 6L is too small for full gear, 10L is too big to be a sling bag, swing around on the side hitting things when loaded, and doesn’t hold that much more than 6L other than taller. I have over a twenty different size camera bags/backpacks, this 3L is the one I use the most.

Why don't bags have water bottle holder? You need to stay hydrated during the day!

Can you fit an Ipad in the 3L?
@jaccoborggreve92855 жыл бұрын
It could fit an iPad mini, but it doesn't have a dedicated slot/sleeve for it. Also the regular iPad won't fit.

V2 opening is too small, I find it more difficult to get access to my batteries or iPad. I would have liked to see the 6 L in the V1 style

Slings are meant to be worn diagonally across your body. To me this is a messenger bag and not a sling. a sling has straps that are diagonal so one touch point at the top left and one strap touch point at the bottom right so the bag can sit tight against your body. the way this bag fits, half the bag at the top is touching your body and half the bag at the bottom is off your body so it doesn't ever feel comfortable

I am Sure Microsoft Surface laptop 13" or Surface pro X are also going to fit in there not only Mac book. Quite tired of listening to reviewers using Apple products in their reviews. =)
