Looks like a pretty smart personal item bag to use alongside a larger carry-on... I'll be considering it for long-haul flights!

Don't, I got one of those bags for my birthday. The holding capacity sucks!

I can confirm that the zippers are really stiff, and I hope they break in over time, but overall, this will be a great boarding bag for longer trips. I will still pack my Aer Go Pack 2 in my carry-on, but this bag should be perfect for my tech kit, packable jacket, and some odds and ends during a flight. The one thing that this bag really needs is an external water bottle pocket.

I prefer the Samsonite boardingbags

It is a great travel on bag. The only negative I experienced is that the luggage pass through is narrow and does take two hands to remove. It is shame because they had room to make it wider. Other than that I love the bag. I also use it as my everyday office briefcase.

It’s just slightly too big to be a personal item for the European economy carriers (too big for EasyJet, Ryanair, Vuelling etc.). Why do manufacturers do this? It’s so close to being the right size - don’t Osprey designers take airline dimensions into account?

@@Crying-Croc they sell globally. Couldn’t find a recent report, but it seems in 21 they sold 51% outside the US.

@@Crying-Croc Um, actually ... - Most of the world is steered on the "American" side. The few exceptions being India, South Africa, Guyana, Australia, some of their neighbors and some island states. - Especially Ford and GM have their subdivisions that develop and market cars for the European market. Like the Ford Puma. - And of course there are variants for left hand traffic. It's even a legal requirement in some countries (like Ireland).
