This is the first video of the 288 Box shipment from Japan to the USA.
This was the largest individual shipment to the USA that I know about, it was huge!
Logistics and organisation were key to this going smooth.
The breeders were under a lot of pressure to make sure the Koi were safe.
16,000 Koi were sent from Japan to ‪@Fitzfishponds‬ in New Jersey.
We are in America right now, to bring the shipment in and make sure the Koi are okay.
The next video coming soon of them arriving in America.

Incredible to watch them pack those koi, very interesting video. Loved that Showa what a beautiful fish. Can’t get over that snow. I’m not surprised nerves are frayed both ends when you think of the value of these fish.

From bagging the koi in Japan to unloading at their final destination...any idea how long it takes

Longer than what’s ideal. Some breeders were shipping 60 boxes, so the time from when they pack the first box, it’s a while till they finish the 60th. I would say 40 hours ish
