I've gone ahead and bought 18 Lil joey's for this baby. I wanted something small and super easy to use in the first couple of weeks. The rest of my newborn stash is just prefolds and covers that I used on my other kids, so the Lil joey's will be a real treat. Thanks for showing them on your videos.

They are kind of a pain in the butt to wash and dry since it holds its C shape so well, but it's really convenient in those first few weeks!

Jay's Nest I wonder if snapping them inside out to wash would help combat that? I'll definitely give it a go to find out.

Snapping them inside out was the only way I could get them clean lol. Plus, they dry a little quicker when you snap them inside out!

Elf (lil Joey knock off) has the absorbency of thx but has a back pocket to add absorbency when needed. And you can get them on Happy Beehinds for around $6.25 each.

I was considering getting the elf Nbaio, but i didn't know it came with a pocket too. Thats really neat! Happy beehinds has some really affordable diapers. If the budget allows I might try it out

Jay's Nest I want to try some of their stuff too. If I can afford the nbaios at least some of the covers. I'm building a stash for baby #2 and I didn't start with my son until much older so it's a whole new experience. But I'm also in the process of building a whole new stash for my son. He just his 18mo and is already a chubby thunder thighs 35lb heavy wetter. I did not anticipate him growing out of one size so soon when we invested. He shows potty training readiness some days but not others so he wear training undies some days but I don't wanna rush him. He'll get it in his own time. As it stands we have to use disposable at night because nothing will hold the bulk or fit for overnight. (We are looking into thirsties duo wraps because they seem to be the most affordable option right, but we'd love to find an affordable big size pocket too)

Amazon also carries some cheapies for a good price which is where ive gotten alot of my stuff. I want to do cloth in the hospital but this being my first cloth baby id be that person to forget my diapers at the hospital haha. Plus some people got me some nb disposable diapers. Even when i told everyone cloth diapers 😑 lol so gonna use those and then switch to my cloth diapers and cloth wipes when he goes through the diapers(thankfully only 32 nb disposables werr given) but im excited to start cloth(i did start my daughter on cloth at night but shes 4 so only needs cloth during sleeping hrs) and i invested in some flates and prefolds last minute for my little man because you got me feeling confident about them so gonna give them a shot 😊 good luck with your little one, your 1 week behind me so i know your like me just playing the waiting game

People always seem to gift disposables. It's like they assume that you wont stick with cloth. Sometimes that's discouraging. Also, congrats on your pregnancy!! Literally any time now 💕 I hope you have a safe delivery.

Jay's Nest well it was an almost all male army unit at my husbands job. 90%of them just gave me amazon giftcards to buy what i wanted, 9% the wives picked the gift off my actual registry, and that 1% was probably one of the guys forgot about the babyshower they were hosting for us and grabbed the huggies gift bundle from the store lol. I was kind of excited to get the bag of wipes in the bundle though cause i use them for everything and they breakdown faster than diapers do so i dont fel guilty using them while being a environmental lover

That's actually a really awesome turnout for everything you got! You really can't beat amazon giftcards as a gift. That gives so much freedom to buy anything. We use both cloth and disposable wipes lol. Sometimes disposable wipes are easier to reach for, admittedly. Cloth does grab poop WAY better though! That's one reason I love cloth wipes.

Jay's Nest i use disposables for cleanup and baths inbetween true bathes for my daughter. I did test one of the cloth wipes i bought on my daughter and the flannel wipes from ozzycozzy, or however its spelled off amazon, worked amazing and so soft. I got a kawaii bundle from their website for nb diapers and i got the rest of my stash from amazon. They carry alot of tokidoki printed stuff from kangacare and i got 2 covers and a changing mat in some of the tokidoki prints 💙 cloth diapers are waaaaay cuter than dipos diapers

I’m going to use the disposable diapers and wipes in the hospital and switch to cloth when we get home. I’m hoping for just a 24 hr stay if I have an uncomplicated delivery. I’m on my 5th and so far I have never had to stay more than 1.5 days.

Not going to say boy or girl but I think you said you had a rumparooz cover? We have two of those and love them! They fit him right away coming home at 21.25" and 8lb3oz and now he's 4 wks about 9lbs8oz (going to the ped this week) and they still fit even though we use a nb prefold with a doubler!

Rumparooz nb is one of my favorites under the cord ❤️ I've loved it with my other 2 in the newborn stage. Its a bit baggy but it's a solid favorite here! I think scarlett wore it until she was about 14lbs before we retired it.
