I put soccer balls in the shoeboxes in a couple of ways. Usually, I put a greeting card in the very bottom of the box, place the pump down along one side, and then add the soccer ball so it's like a bowl. Everything else fits either inside the "bowl" or in the corners of the box. Usually a thin note pad and a pencil pack will fit on top. Otherwise, I put something inside the ball and secure it with a rubber band as you did, but I still lay it in the box before I add most of the other items. I can get a lot in the box and still have a flat cover.

Toothbrush covers, toothpaste, bar of soap... I also use a plastic shoebox because we heard they use them to gather water. We were also told that personal items (notes, pics) are removed at the processing areas. Just an FYI...

Hi there! Due to shipping/customs issues tooth paste and liquids aren't allowed anymore for Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes. Personal notes are not removed. I worked at the processing center, they leave notes just as they are unless there is a check which is removed, but not the personal note which is encouraged. ❤

Last year I put soccer balls in all but two of my 10-14 boy boxes. It is a struggle to fit it all in for sure. I try to get almost all of the air out by putting the needle in the ball and pressing the air out. Then I put something inside the folded ball, like the pump or a t-shirt and socks. Then I put a 107 rubber band around the ball, but I double the rubber band to make close tighter. Through it all, I am careful not to damage the bladder of the ball, where the needle goes in. Hope this helps!

Such nice soccer balls. Nice boxes. They will be enjoyed. If you put the socks in the cup, would it fit in smaller box? I have been packing boxes today and it is disappointing when unable to get everything into box. Thanks for sharing and encouraging.

Thank you for your encouragement! Those socks are fluffy and big! That's a good idea with trying to get them in the cup instead. Always a puzzle trying to make it all fit! 🧩😄❤️

Están muy bien las cajas, como sugerencia, te diría que intentaras poner un estuche(de los planos) para el colegio y una mochila de cuerdas sencilla que no abulta nada. Y si puedes poner otro cochecito, sería genial. Ya se que las cajas van llenas, pero es principalmente por el balón. A lo mejor ves la manera de añadir algo de esto, apretando más. Es solo una sugerencia, con mucho respeto y gracias por compartir.
