Well organized. Why would you take cooking and eating stuff and spices? You know Canada is a developed country, and these items are available, may not be at a walking distance.

I am glad that i took spices with me bcoz initially due to college load , housing stuff and everything its hard to find a indian store for indian spices,if you will have it you will cook, st johns is a small place yhere are few indian stores so pls bring spices with you and also here spices are not like indian spices

If you mean St. John's, the capital of Newfoundland and Labrador, yes, it is relatively small compared to Toronto, where I live. A beautiful province though. Hopefully, during your studies here in Canada you will try other cuisines than just sticking to Indian. Either you were told or experiencing it, kitchens in Canada are generally not naturally well ventilated so food smells, specially Indian food stays within the home and on ones personal clothing. So unless one is used to Indian food, many Canadians do not like this smell, specially when in close quarters, e.g. elevators, meetings etc. You chose this city as the tuition fees and cost of living are relatively less?

yes you can carry anything in carry bags but don't carry in check in bags.
