We just went through Hurricane Helena. The devastation in western NC was catastrophic. While we were mucking out, four FEMA vans pulled into our neighborhood which we thought were search and rescue. Two FEMA agents were going door to door asking what they could do at that moment. I’m not political. But this was so appreciated. They left their own families in Massachusetts to come down here to offer assistance. I’m very grateful that our church families and FEMA have worked closely together. 🙏🏻 I’m jealous of your trip to Greece! I’ve always wanted to go there. Can’t wait for the video footage! Be safe and have a blast!!! 🇬🇷 🧳

My son just returned this afternoon from assisting with food in the NE TN area and we have a family friend in Rutherford County NC. It is AWFUL... the area with never be the same. On Sat I had to drive through Atlanta and the traffic was AWFUL. Its because all trucks coming and going in to western NC has to ALL be re-routed through ATL due to I-40 and I-85 being closed.
@angelahagood3639Ай бұрын
@@amyshoemaker1566 I understand completely Miss Amy. My husband and I always spend Thanksgiving camping in East Tennessee at Panther Creek State Park, but because of the horrific damage to I-40 we had to cancel. I often take for granted simple things like a road designed to cut hours off travel time. This hurricane has taught me some valuable lessons. Thankful to your son for serving. I wish you all safety and blessings!🥰

Thank you for all your prayers. As a central Florida resident, I can’t begin to explain the emotions we go through when we listen in complete darkness, as these major hurricanes come through. Then there’s the aftermath 😢. The destruction is heartbreaking and isn’t always identified immediately. Often times it takes days and even weeks before it’s all unraveled. Please continue to pray for us.

I live in central Florida as well and I have been through hurricanes but this one was so terrifying! It was so loud, long, dark and we watched water rise outside but thank God it didn’t come into the house but did enter the garage!! I am praying for those who had flooding or severe damage!!

Prayers for all storm victims! Enjoy Greece. When I did my own highlights and lowlights, I used a cap (I have abandoned coloring and let my grays flourish!). It’s not a good idea if you have longer hair as pulling your hair through the holes can cause breakage, but works well for shorter and layered hair. It allows you to rinse the high or low lights thoroughly, and protect your other hair. After rinsing, gently remove the cap and wash the entire head. Works great!

I did a bunch of globetrotting for 12 years. It was exciting at first, but despite the comfortable travel accommodations, it still got old dealing with living out of a suitcase, jet lag, culture shock, etc. I didn't experience anything negative other than a missed international flight once, but after awhile the uncomfortable logistics outweighed the enjoyment of each exotic destination. I'm much happier staying home now. I recently read somewhere that various European cities are experiencing too many tourists, and as a result the locals are protesting in large numbers. Greece was one spot. Hope your specific vacation spot worked out though--Thanks for sharing your life with us!
