This past summer I went to visit a friend on Vancouver Island. I was on a small prop plane and all of the passengers had to pick up our carry-on luggage on the tarmac in Nanaimo. As we were waiting I looked over and there was Pamela Anderson as unassuming as can be. I didn't have the courage to say anything but I just smiled at her and she smiled back. It was a nice memory.

@HH-gv8mx I agree. I'm 69 and was brought up by a mother who always was made up every day and told me to always look your best with hair and makeup no matter what. I, too, look older with makeup. I wear minimal. Always have. It's very sad that our culture has imposed these expectations on women for decades. It's one thing to look your best, too. Whatever makes you feel good but not to feel less than if you don't. I' ve never had botox either. I do use good skincare and stay out of the sun. I pick up my granddaughter every day from high school, and so many girls have false eyelashes and full makeup on. They look 15 years older! My husband takes 15 min to get ready. I take maybe 30, but it's expected for women to be perfect every time they leave the house. She's very refreshing and real. I really admire her so much. No regrets in life. It makes us stronger to do what we feel good with. No self imposed expectations.

It is awesome to be witness to her transformation. You can tell she is trying to get comfortable in these new shoes and realizing people are viewing her in a completely different way. She is certainly becoming more powerful and inspirational. She shared a lot of little wisdoms in that short interview that illustrate that the woman is doing the work to empower herself and owning this version of herself. I was never a Pam Anderson fan back in the day but seeing her shed the superficial and being an example to women (and men) everywhere has really changed my opinion. A few years ago I saw a short movie she starred in called "Connected". I think it was only 10 minutes or so and I knew immediate that this woman was not only an incredible actress but that she was on the brink of a new evolution and boy has she delivered!!
