I would argue that this is what’s wrong with the hobby in general now. All people care about is what’s the card worth. They throw a handful of crazy chase cards in there that will fetch high money and people lose their mind paying for the hunt. All this is is gambling

Maybe worth 1k now, but they’ll be worth even less in the future. It’s all manufactured scarcity. Would have been way better off putting 8k into the stock market.

@newenglandmixes5990 right. But the box cost 8k. Do the math. Even the greatest box of this garbage couldn't cover the cost. The only people that win here are panini and the distributors. No product should price out possible profit. This is a good product at about 1500. None of the top rookies sign in it. The memorabilia is all fake of the rack. They've had to dive deep into stars of the past whom have tons of viable cards already. People who buy into this product at this price point are ignorant. I mean it's their money, they can flush it down the toilet if they want. But all this does in enrich the distributors and pull money from the hobby. Panini is on the way out and is making as much money as they can before they go. They've always been this way. I watched them gobble up all the small manufacturers when they came in, and double prices for inferior products. Usher in points cards that require shipping cost payments to boot. We already purchased the product, but now have to pay again to get it? Sticker autos, non associated patches, i mean it's crazy people keep buying it.

The print at 13:53 on the Stroud card is wrong, he was the 2nd overall pick not the 3rd (Will Anderson Jr). Classic Panini man.

great opening as always, i just dont know if its worth 8k i feel like the floor needs to be higher on the cards. cause you can speculate on some of the cards worth, but 8k sometimes i feel like flawless, should be in 1-2k range maybe 3k to push it. or they do black or gold case with bigger cards and better floor. thanks for the show pacman!

To really get a great idea of the value of that Sapphire you would need to see it up close with a jewelers loupe. However, guessing based on its size which looks to be less than a carat, I would guess that Panini is paying $20 at the absolute most (bulk amount at wholesale pricing). If it is a truly exceptional stone it could be as much as $1000 or more a carat.

I’m new to watching your KZbin channel, but really enjoyed watching you open those Flawless cards.. That CJ card is amazing.. I would love to give that to my son.. CJ is his favorite player.. He just turned 11 on 11/11 (veterans day baby) I think they call it a golden birthday…. I got my son a CJ jersey & he wore it to his party… I could only imagine giving him that card….
