Packrafting a wild 37km stretch of the Cataract river from Red Rock Mine to Paddy's Flat. During the 3 days on the river we experienced some fantastic whitewater, moody mornings and excellent camping on the banks of the river.
The Cataract River is a wild and remote river that rises on the eastern slopes of the Great Diving Range in New South Wales and descends 810 metres over its 85 km course before reaching its confluence with the Clarence River.
Shot entirely in S-Cinetone with the Sony ZV-E1 (16-35mm F4 PZ), GoPro 11, DJI Action 4 and iPhone 14 Pro max.
Some of the gear I used (not sponsored) is as follows:
CORE GEAR
Packraft - Alpacka Raft Classic (Large)
Tent - Slingfin Portal 2
Backpack - ULA Ultra Catalyst
Quilt - ZenBivy Light Quilt 10°
Sleeping Pad - Big Agnes Rapide SL
CLOTHING

Socks - alnk.to/7M8Mydi
MISC

wow this looks like so much fun! i’ve never heard of pack rafting until i watched this video. i just went on a portage trip on a inflatable 2 person kayak and if i knew these types of rafts were a thing before that it would have saved us from the packing stress hahaha! great video

Awesome vid mate. I went car camping at paddys flat a few months after the lismore floods and it was pretty amazing seeing how high the river had been. Love it down there, and now you've inspired to do the same one day 😂

Cheers, appreciate that! It was my first time at Paddy's Flat but it certainly looks like a great spot to have a car camp.

@@AaronGrayOutdoors yeah the weather didn't look recent haha. I went to Yuraygir the other night, what a lovely spot. Saw the spot you stayed too, I preferred the big grassy area, I don't like sand in my tent haha.
