Pro-tip: 20, 15, and 10m are resonant multiples of 40m so you only need one link for the 17m band. Add a small loading coil near the feed point to bring in 15 and 10m. Order of operations: 1) Cut the 17m element a couple of feet long. 2) Wrap 10 or so turns of wire onto a .7" cylinder (plastic drip line works well, or other tubing) positioned 5 ft from the feed point. 3) Tune the 17m element. 4) Add a link and about 13m more wire, then trim to resonance on 40m. 20m, 15m, and 10m should be good as well. 🤘😁👍

Could I do this same thing (or something similar to it) except use the PackTenna Mini Random Wire 9:1 UNUN antenna instead? I've decided that I don't like dealing with a tuner so this antenna has just been collecting dust for months. I'd happily buy a Packtenna EFHW, but of course that isn't exactly an option now is it?
