obviously, he would win EVO just by calculating the exact angle and distance he needs to throw the bell for it to get hit by the hydrant for launch and then he can use the water pressure to pac-dash to mixup and when the opponent thinks they are safe he hits them with a calcuated galaxia to fire hydrant offstage, simple math

technically its vector addition, but not really since individual magnitudes dont get added up. its more like finding the cross product as a unit vector and then projecting

Pac-Man is like a really well designed puzzle game in that, when you combine two or more elements it produces an interaction that you’ve never seen before (because there are so many combinations!), but is perfectly logical.

Another trick that not many people know about is that if you use the trampoline right on top of the hydrant, the water will still shoot up.

Regarding side B, you can also use it to do a sort of extended/easy 2 frame by floating/placing it directly next to the ledge against characters with linear recoveries that possess a hitbox. Colliding with the pellet will put them in hitstun/hitlag freeze, and with Pac-Man having basically no lag, he can throw out a quick option like an angled forward tilt to 2 frame them with relative ease.

One fun detail about the hydrant is that is always has an active hitbox, specifically a HITbox, this means that you can stand close as a character with a counter, and it will activate and hit the hydrant. You can use this to stay in the pacmans face while he tries to set up on you.

6:20 i discovered you can stand on the hydrant and down throw right before the water comes out and it launches heavies at a horizontal and downward angle. It works for most percents and kills at 120 or above at ledge

If up prime the hydrant and upB right next to it while on the ground, the hydrant will be sent straight up and slightly towards the center stage, while preserving the trampoline. This is good for edguarding, all options except for wait and drop down are covered 👍

This was a very informative video. As a Pac player I could definitely use these in tourney for some twitch clips. But I also wanted to say something about Drop Cancel. There are more characters that this tech works with, but Pac-Man is one of two that can perform it with Up Air.
