Cool little bug. Do you think that would work with bucktail?. Lots of color combos

Jamie, good question, I did some testing with it today and it will work, but I don't think it's quite as nice as the moose. The deer is finer, so you'll need more hairs to get the colors, but good news is you have a ton more options with colors. I've also been using my own beard hair, it works pretty well also if you have a little grey creeping in lol Cheers

Great pattern. Perdigones work great. I was introduced into fishing with them by few Portuguese competitors, since then they are great asset in my box.

Chimo, nice looking pellet. If that's a moose pellet in size 12 would a size 14 or a 16 be a deer pellet? ;o) Speaking of deer have you done anything with that faux bucktail? One of the comments reminded me of that. I think we chatted about that before. Gone fishing yet? The weather is stable now but something always comes up. Maybe this week end. BTW, the skeeters came out awhile ago. Now the black flies are out in force, they swarm you like trout on a moose pellet perdigon! Cheers ;o)

Chimo, lol, I had the same thought and have some of the Faux on my shopping list. The only thing that may be a little iffy is the diameter of the faux. If it's the same as regular deer hair, it might be a little too thin. I've got my buffs pulled out for the bugs, they were thick last year, but I didn't have the buffs and ended up eating more than I wanted to. It's the trout opener today, but the rivers are blown out from the past couple days of rain here. I'm going to try mid-week to see if any trout are left in the streams. cheers
