To whom it may concern,
Sometimes when you don't have the financial resources, but you do have time and scrap fabrics, it calls for a DIY!
As I embark on a journey of making more and more garments, I've been experimenting with grading the patterns that I've made into standard retail sizes. And the need for a standard size dress form is crucial to visualise the garment on a 3D form.
Unfortunately, industry-grade dress forms come at a cost that is reasonable, but outside my budget. So, I've resorted to making my old adjustable (and slightly flimsy) mannequin work for me.
In this video, I documented my process of removing the old padding and replacing it a new and better one. And I can't wait to use it for my future sewing projects!
Love, Zyra
