Have the Monarch Control 14mm with 6 grams on it and just snagged the Jelly Bean 14mm to use stock when quickness at the net is needed. Outstanding price!

Not sure why the Jelly Bean is promoted as a "beginner paddle." I play at 4.0+ level and use the JB 16mm. Outstanding control and fiberglass layer gives it some good pop/power. Huge sweet spot/very forgiving. $90 w/discount code is a steal. Jelly Bean all day....

I say it in my review and this comparison this paddle can be a good fit for any level. It has more to do with the price point and title so it can be found on search by newer players.

Help! I don't have tungsten tape but I do have 3gram lead tape strips. Where do you recommend I place them on the Monarch Jellybean?

I would try placing them on the sides in the middle and then go lower id you don’t like the maneuverability.

Someone needs to do a comparison of the 14mm and 16mm jellybean.

Aight put it on the list! It isn’t too complex though. The 14mm has a little more pop and a little less power while being more maneuverable and slightly stiffer but still on the softer side than the Jelly Bean 16mm.

@@juansantiago1441 You’ll able to get more power out of the Monarch All Court with similar weighting because of the fiberglass layer. If that is really what you want then it is worth it. If you are playing well and happy with the Apollo I would stick with it.
