In the penultimate video in a series of eight we take to the water in a rowing boat to have a good look the the starboard side and stern of the Maid of the Loch.
While excellent progress had been made on the port side the starboard side was still to be tackled.
The last 12 years of neglect are visible for all to see.
We get a short glimpse of the MV Countess Fiona sitting forlornly on the Balloch slipway. Countess Fiona (ex Countess of Breadalbane 1936 and re-named Countess of Kempock in 1971) took over cruising duties on Loch Lomond from 1982 until 1989.
Countess Fiona was scrapped on the Balloch slipway in September 1999.
