Kayaking on lake , bay creek ,or whitewater. Can be safer than it is.. 1. Not alcohol or drugs.. 2 mandatory pfd rules and enforcement, 3 paddle with a group of people.., no whitewater by yourself not fishing.. 4 if you on mix water rafting paddle board and kayaks keep the tricks and flips for later date to help the less experienced paddlers a safer for all..... 5 if you are a business or land owner on a dam control river please keep fallen trees and limbs out of river kayaks can get caught under them and pfd can get caught on limbs.... No not your responsibility but a very kind deed. ..

First rule of kayaking is knowing how to flip an overturned kayak upright by diving and rolling head first over the kayak and grabbing the far side to flip it back upright and then getting back on. Second is to make sure your paddle is connected with string or band to the kayak. Keep head in centre for stability.
