The 'Mad' is a great river and MKC does a fabulous job training paddlers of all skill levels. I've been going their since my newbie days in the early 80s . In recent years I've also renewed my Swift Water Rescue training with them

I live in Buffalo, NY and all these places in ON you've been showing recently is making me pray the border opens up sometime during the summer

Not long now I hope... I can't wait to be able to go on some paddling adventures on your side of the border again too!

We were camping with Adventure Schools (Washington DC) at the Ottawa ("Just turn left at the blue barn, eh?") and took a day trip up to the Mad. Only ran it once. It was perfect for teaching our somewhat competent students how to scout individual drops. BEAUTIFUL, fun, and way out there!

It is so disappointing that Ontario's best teaching river does not get more views :(

Whats going on there at the @5:55 mark. What are you wearing Ken? Is that what I think it is for, padding for your ankles when kneeling? If so that is genius and I want to know more. Also signed up for the MKC in May.

Ha! I'm busted! yes... I was dying after a full day of solo boating, and the fellow I was paddling with came up with this idea. :). You can see it in action in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qHu9n4mYjZdrZ9U

Really enjoy your channel. Are you familiar with the Cossatot in Arkansas? Is that a place you might consider doing a video on?

I"m not familiar with the Cossatot. Another river to put on my list... :) There are too many, which is awesome.

From what I can tell from your channel, those of you in the Greater Ottawa area are blessed with many many incredible places that I most likely would not have learned about without your videos. I'm one of those strange guys that would rather paddle on a 100⁰F day than a 50⁰F day so Canada wasn't on my radar, but it is now.
