Y’all are too cute. Thanks for making this video and for all of the advice. The last time I paddled tandem was with an ex 15 years ago and we got out of the water ready to fly back to the US and never speak again. I had such a bad time with him, I never wanted to paddle tandem again…until now. I’ve since married and want to get my husband into the sport in an attempt to turn him onto all of the things I love about nature. I own two yaks and considered selling one to get a tandem just so we could spend more quality time on the water. I’ll stop calling them “divorce boats” and start calling them “love boats”❤

and the beauty of this one is, it really does great paddling solo as well so the days i run it alone it does just what i need. and it is an aircraft carrier that i can load with camping gear and run for miles!

In my opinion, you can’t beat the Tripper T. My wife and I enjoy our time on the water together. The formula I found is I don’t allow her to use a paddle. All she needs to do is just enjoy the ride and scenery.

Sounds like y'all have a good plan for sure! That Tripper T is a wonderful paddling kayak. We still have our DT and I doubt I will ever get rid of it!

Bought a kayak a month ago and have been going every weekend. Had someone at the gas station call it a divorce kayak. I was confused so I asked my wife to look it up and we had a great laugh.

Those were great tips, and I too can’t stand that term for tandem kayaks.
