In 1991 the International Padel Federation was formed (FIP) by Julio Alegria Artiach, and in 1992 the first World Championships was arranged and hosted in the dual cities of Madrid and Seville.
Padel Tennis Federation was founded in 2017 by a team of Padel enthusiasts, professionals and Padel players from Spain and India. It is a non-profit organisation with the mission of introducing, promoting and developing the knowledge of Padel in India
